The project covers three walls of a conference room with a grid of electronically-controlled blocks; the artists can push them forward or backwards to create animated pixelated imagery. Pixel aesthetics are no longer limited to computer screens, and the tecnology has established itself as a significant current in beyond-the-screen design. Still, coming across a project that tranfers the same structural dynamism of a digital surface onto an architectural one is quite rare.
The project was designed for the Hyundai Motor Group exhibition pavilion at the Yeosu Expo 2012.
